BISHOP BARRON on BAPTISM

9 January 2022

From Our National Formation Commission Chair

Diane F. Menditto, OFS

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Happy Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord.

I just listened to Bishop [Robert] Barron's Sunday homily on Baptism. He talked about how when we are baptized we are anointed priests, prophets, and kings. In formation we stress that our Profession is an intensification of our Baptismal commitment. This homily helps to clarify exactly what our commitment is.

I highly recommend this homily for personal ongoing formation and for sharing with fraternities and those in initial formation.
